About the Film: DANZÓN is a 1991 film directed by the renowned Mexican director María Novaro and starring María Rojo. It was nominated by the Mexican Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences to the Ariel Award for Best Film, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Score. It was considered in the number 45 spot among the 100 best Mexican films of all time by "Somos" magazine. Currently, María Novaro serves as the general director of the Mexican Film Institute director (IMCINE).

About the Film: EIGHT OUT OF TEN is a 2018 film directed by Sergio Umansky. It won an Ariel Award for Best Actor at the 2019 Ariel Award Ceremony. The film was also recognized with the Guerrero Press Award for Best Film at Guadalajara's International Film Festival; the Mezcal Award for Best Actor and for Best Actress at the Guadalajara Festival; special mention by the jury at the Varsovia Film Festival; Best Narrative Feature (Jury Award) at Austin's Cine Las Americas International Film Festival; Best Screenplay at Calella, Spain International Festival, among others.

About the Film: AHÍ ESTÁ EL DETALLE (YOU'RE MISSING THE POINT) is a 1940 film from Mexico's Golden Age of cinema, written and directed by Juan Bustillo Oro and starring one of Mexico's most renowned actors and comedians, Mario Moreno "Cantinflas". It is considered by critics as Cantinflas' best film, and the one which launched him into fame and recognition. It is also considered the pioneer of comedy genre in Mexico's film history.
