Beginning with the end and moving backward in time, ZUGAR ZOMBIE weaves the story of how a zombie holocaust came to pass. In a small city in southwest Colombia, things unravel into chaos just as the mayor’s reelection campaign heats up. The film travels back 12 years to the origin of these events, revealing not just the domino effect but how things work in a small Latin American community. After winning the Colombian Cinematographic Development Award for 2012, ZUGAR ZOMBIE has been delighting festival audiences internationally.
