Building on its 27-year legacy as a trusted platform for Latine/x and Indigenous filmmakers, Cine Las Americas proudly launches its first film conference—open to filmmakers and cinephiles alike.
After a successful pilot program for filmmakers in 2024—met with overwhelmingly positive feedback—the 2025 conference expands to welcome the broader public. Taking place May 15–16 during the 27th annual Cine Las Americas International Film Festival, this two-day event features fireside chats, hands-on workshops, and roundtable discussions with both rising talent and established voices in the industry.
Welcoming accomplished filmmakers, producers, writers and directors such as Elizabeth Avellán (Troublemaker Studios, Spy Kids, American Sons) and David Blue Garcia (Texas Chainsaw Massacre – Netflix, Tejano – HBO), with more local industry leaders to be announced—stay tuned.
Step into a space where stories, skills, and community come together to affirm the growing presence of Latine/x and Indigenous voices in the film industry. Open to all, with special student pricing—this is your moment to be part of something powerful!
