Synopsis: What are the words for lesbian and gay in the Inuit language? And what happens to those words when the Native American culture starts to vanish? Part history lesson and part travel documentary, Two Soft Things, Two Hard Things takes us on a journey to the beautiful and isolated arctic region of Nunavut, where an unlikely Pride celebration is being prepared by a new generation of Inuit who are working to unearth their culture’s forgotten celebration of LGBTQ people.

Synopsis: Julia, Micaela and Diego are best friends in their 30s and living in São Paulo. Julia (Maria Laura Nogueira) is navigating life after a breakup with her boyfriend and unplanned pregnancy, Diego (Thiago Pethit) parties hard and neglects his boyfriend, and Micaela (Renata Gaspar) is dating an actress who will not present her as her girlfriend. As the sibling-like friends navigate their personal struggles together, their closeness will be strained as they console but also criticize each other.

Synopsis: It is the middle of October in the city of Lima, Peru. “The purple month” is a time for processions to commemorate the Lord of Miracles, the most widely venerated image of Christ in the city. Rosa Chumbe is a middle-aged police officer with both a gambling and drinking problem. She lives with her daughter, Sheyla, who has a little baby. One day, after a big fight between them, Sheyla steals her mother’s savings and storms out of the house, leaving her baby behind. Sheyla chooses to confront her own troubles alone, leaving Rosa to spend time with her grandson. This interaction provokes a change in Rosa’s hardened heart. But everything takes a wrong turn one night, and only a miracle can save her.

Synopsis: During the Spanish Civil War, Teo is destined to a minuscule fort of vigilance, located in a cold and inhospitable place in the mountains. There he meets Silverio, his new companion, with whom he will have to coexist for six long months. The different personalities of these two men provoke many tensions, accentuated by the limited space. The fragile coexistence breaks up with the arrival of Zolska, a young militiawoman whom they find wounded in the surroundings.
