Synopsis: Writer-director Sam Peckinpah was a man on the edge at all times. This film, starring Warren Oates as a piano playing drifter who sets out on the titular quest, led many to believe he had finally gone over that edge. Synopsis: Elena, a young Brazilian woman, travels to New York with the same dream as her mother, to become a movie actress. She leaves behind her childhood spent in hiding during the years of the military dictatorship. She also leaves Petra, her seven year old sister. Two decades later, Petra also becomes an actress and goes to New York in search of Elena. She only has a few clues about her: home movies, newspaper clippings, a diary and letters.

Synopsis: Almost 42 years have passed since a military coup in Chile deposed the democratically elected government of President Salvador Allende. In BEYOND MY GRANDFATHER ALLENDE, his granddaughter Marcia Tambutti Allende goes in search of Salvador Allende the man. She attempts to reconstruct the past through informal interviews with her family, quickly discovering that they don’t talk about “Chico,” as he was affectionately known.
