About the Film
ROMA, the 2018 film by renowned award-winning Mexican director Alfonso Cuarón, portrays a vivid and emotional description of domestic life throughout Mexico’s turbulent 70s decade.
This universally acclaimed film received ten nominations and won in three categories at the 91st Academy Awards: Best Director, Best Foreign Language Film (First Mexican entry to win the award) and Best Cinematography. It also received numerous accolades in other prestigious award ceremonies like the 76th Golden Globe Awards and the 72nd British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA).
Special Guest Prof. Héctor Domínguez Ruvalcaba, PhD. will moderate discussion following the screening.
