Almost a century old, the history of Brazilian animation is filled with rich and exciting characters, the memory of whom marked generations of lives. LUZ, ANIMA, AÇÃO shows how Brazilian animation was made for feature films, TV and publicity, by the hands of its creators. The film also nostalgically returns to the screen the most memorable animated characters and creations throughout Brazil’s history. After screening in all corners of its home country, the documentary had its international premiere at the Palm Beach International Film Festival only a few weeks prior to coming to Austin.
