The comedian Timoteo is the leader of a circus of cross-dressers that has toured through Chile for more than forty years. Today his advanced age and health are reasons to be concerned about the future of the show. Daily incidents and conflicts shape the comedian’s life while he struggles between a possible end and his need to put on his circus. EL GRAN CIRCO DE TIMOTEO had its world premiere at Visions Du Reel last year and won both the Audience Award and the Honorable Mention from the Feature Jury at FICVIÑA.

About the director
Lorena Giachino is a journalist with a graduate degree in screenwriting. She has worked as an audiovisual director for Chilean TV and several cultural series; she has also collaborated with BBC and Discovery Channel, among others. REINALDA DEL CARMEN, MY MOTHER AND ME is her opera prima.
