Said is a young, exiled Moroccan man who works in the maintenance department of a hotel in Mexico. He is learning Spanish and trying to find himself despite his exile, but feels very lonely nonetheless. The only thing that keeps him on his feet is his religion. Ceferina is a lonely woman who works in the same department as Said, but she rejects him because of her prejudice and mistrust. However one day, Ceferina is able to see Said’s tremendous faith and decides to get closer. For Said, this represents the possibility of staying in Mexico and not being alone.
