Experience five days of incredible films, red carpets, and special events at the 28th annual Cine Las Americas International Film Festival (CLAIFF28), May 13-17, 2026, in Austin, TX, USA. Showcasing storytelling rooted in the vibrant cultures of Latine/x, Indigenous, Latin American, and Ibero-American communities, the festival features narratives, documentaries, shorts, music videos, and the beloved Hecho en Tejas showcase. Discover new voices, connect with filmmakers, and step into a community shaped by nearly three decades of cinema, culture, and creative exchange!
Alongside, we’re proud to host a special event dedicated solely to celebrating filmmakers under the age of 19, the 2nd annual Emergente Youth International Film Festival (May 23, 2026)!
Cine Las Americas held a public poster competition to select the official artwork for the 28th International Film Festival. Artists (ages 18+) from around the world were invited to submit work reflecting the spirit of community, cinema, Indigeneity, Latinidad(es), and cultural vibrancy.
We are grateful to all who shared their creativity and vision, and we are proud to present this year’s winning design by Victoria Villasana.
