Victoria Villasana

Poster Winner

Victoria Villasana was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, and studied design at ITESO before moving to London, where she began creating embroidery collages that gained recognition in the street art community for their cross-cultural textile imagery.

Using embroidery as a language of female empowerment, her work explores resilience, identity, and the human spirit. The unfinished threads that extend beyond the frame reflect evolution, imperfection, and the acceptance of change. For Villasana, textiles are both a form of resistance and a bridge between cultures, rooted in histories of storytelling and community.

Her work has been exhibited at Saatchi Gallery, Museo de Arte Popular, Zona Maco, and the United Nations Headquarters, and she has collaborated with brands including Nike, Netflix, Sephora, and The New York Times. She currently resides between Mexico and Spain.
