A young linguist travels to the jungle of Mexico to research a language on the verge of disappearing. Once there, he discovers that its last two speakers clashed 50 years ago, and have refused to speak to each other since. Attempting to reunite them, the researcher discovers a secret past.

About the director
Ernesto Contreras’ award-winning first film, BLUE EYELIDS (2007), screened at some of the most prestigious festivals in the world: Cannes, San Sebastián, Tokyo IFF, and Sundance. After the premiere of his documentary SEGUIR SIENDO: CAFÉ TACVBA (2010), Contreras returned with the controversial THE OBSCURE SPRING (2014). His fourth feature I DREAM IN ANOTHER LANGUAGE premiered at Sundance in 2017, winning the Audience Award (World Cinema Dramatic).
