Synopsis
Elena is a single mother who relies on social services in the border city of El Paso, Texas. Her son, Tom, has behavioral issues and is stigmatized at school as a “problem child.” When Elena refuses to continue administering Tom with medication for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), social services threatens to remove him from her custody.
