Synopsis
Coming of age in rural Mexico, an introspective 11-year-old boy spends his summer raising fighting bulls and dreaming of emulating the cowboys in his family, while dreading the start of school and pining for his distant father in America.
The film premiered at prestigious festivals like Visions du Réel and Hot Docs, earning accolades such as Best Documentary at the Miami Ibero-American Film Festival and the Audience Award at the Morelia International Film Festival.

Isabel Vaca is a Mexican director and producer with Temporada de Campo being her debut feature. Isabel, who leads Caribou Visual Studio, is currently working on the documentaries Camino a Casa and Forensita, while her fiction shorts Spinning and LOVE were featured at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2023 and 2024, respectively.
