DETROIT’S RIVERA records the making of the murals painted by Diego Rivera in the city of Detroit between 1932 and 33. Based on extensive archival work, the agile montage of vintage materials offers a singular poetic approach to the interface between the mural art, industrial cinema, factory work, and the social struggles during those agitated years of deep economic depression in the US.
