This is the story of stone soup, a nourishing dish that has survived in a village in the highlands of Oaxaca. Passed on through their elders, the millennial recipe is a gift from the ancestors. Men prepare the soup, which they offer in honor of the women, children, and elderly of the village. In this way, THE PATH OF STONE SOUP transmits both ideology and language from generation to generation.
