Having made their debut with Wapikoni Mobile, Samian, Melissa Mollen Dupuis, Marie-Pier Ottawa, Kevin Papatie, and Raymond Caplin have developed innovative filmmaking and musical approaches. In the movie, THE INDIANS, THE EAGLE AND THE TURKEY, as in their lives, these youth redefine what it means to be an “Indian” today, and claim the medium of creation to build a new image of themselves, amidst tradition and modernity.

About the director

- Director“Les glaneuses” are a duo consisting of documentary filmmakers Karine van Ameringen and Iphigénie Marcoux-Fortier. Together, they co-directed and co-produced several short and medium-length films: HERE WE REMAIN‚ THE INDIANS, THE EAGLE AND THE TURKEY, as well as a feature film, THE THRESHOLD. - Director Their films, poetic recitals of human faces, address topics as varied as ethnic tourism, exoticism, identity, intercultural encounters, exile, absence and death.
