Synopsis
Inspired by the 1994 bombing of a Jewish community center in Buenos Aires, Argentina, this film depicts the twists, turns, and dangers of political terrorism. Motivated by personal tragedies, two obsessive characters on both sides of the Arab-Israeli conflict are set on a collision course. Stationed in Caracas and operating undercover as a doctor, Ahmed Al Hassama is a young Kuwaiti militant who is slated to execute a terrorist attack. Dispatched to Buenos Aires to diffuse the imminent threat, David Goldberg is a cold-blooded and embittered Israeli Mossad agent who will stop at nothing to terminate the terrorist sleeper cell. Both men embark on parallel paths of martyrdom, blinded by hatred born of childhood trauma and prepared to sacrifice everything for their beliefs.
Cine Las Americas International Film Festival presents this film as a supporter of the Austin Jewish Film Festival (AJFF). The AJFF is now in its thirteenth exciting year. The 2015 Film Festival is scheduled from October 24-30 and will offer a potpourri of notable films, speakers, and panels that patrons, sponsors and festival attendees have come to expect each year.
