Along the way, Without A Net explores the connections between risk, desire, poverty and circus, and celebrates the perseverance and resilience of youth in the face of tremendous odds. Kelly J Richardson is an actor, acrobat, aerialist and filmmaker. She graduated with honors from UC Berkeley, studied at the Ailey school for dance in New York City, and has performed circus, theater and dance in San Francisco, New York, Salvador and Rio de Janeiro. Ane, a blind girl on the verge of puberty, discovers photography and her first love at the hands of her uncle Antonio, a mysterious photographer who returns after a long time to the family home, where they spend the summer. Overprotected by her parents, who want to try another operation to restore her vision, and isolated by other teenagers, Ane spends her time capturing with her camera things that nobody wants to see, and which will shed new light on familial dynamics. Finally, disappointed by the adults in her life, Ane has to finds her own way to navigate the world as a teenager and as a blind person. Camera obscura premiered at the Valladolid International Film Festival.

Maru Solores (Donosti, 1968) studied at the School of Cinema and Video of Andoain, Gipuzkoa. Also, she took part in film workshops given by the scriptwriter Michel Gaztambide and the director Jose Luis Guerín. Then, she moved to Berlin and studied Film Direction at the Deutsche Film-und Fernsehakademie Berlin. She directed many short films in 16mm, 35mm and documentaries. Her short film in 35mm, Dortoka Uhartea, won many international awards. After 10 years in Berlin, she returned to the Basque Country. She has worked in television (as a producer, TV director and editor), in film editing, and teaching.

Lautaro is a young boy growing up in the inner Guerero State of Mexico during the 40s. After his father is murdered, his mother decides to send him away to live with his aunt, lest the murderers decide to do the same to her son. While Lautaro is sad about being away from his family, he makes an exciting new discovery, as he is introduced for the first time to the world of the spirits. Odín Salazar Flores was born in Mexico City in 1969. He attended Engineering School for five years before he began studying film at the Centro Universitario de Estudios Cinematográficos (CUEC) at the National University of Mexico (UNAM), where he majored as in film direction in 2000. Since 2001 he worked as 1AD in several films, documentaries and TV series.
