Oliver, a middle class youth about to graduate from high school, organizes a trip around the Dominican Republic with his two best friends, Hemingway and Moises. Oliver wants to say goodbye to his girlfriend in the far-off town of Pedernales. Hemingway seeks to escape his oppressive family, and Moises is documenting the trip as a farewell to his love of photography before studying to be a civil engineer. Along the way, they encounter a Haitian hitchhiker, a famous photographer and an intriguing artist – all of whom teach them something valuable along their journey before they reach their destination for a final farewell.

About the director

- DirectorA director and screenwriter, Guillermo Zouain has an MFA in film directing from the Escuela Superior de Cinema y Audiovisuales de Cataluña (ESCAC). He has worked on numerous productions as director, writer and producer in the US, Spain, and the Dominican Republic. His work as an up-and-coming director has been selected and received awards in various international film festivals. His latest music video appeared on MTV Latin America.

This is the basis for our fashion industry today, and the hope of a better future and a place for Puerto Rican designers in the world.

- DirectorFlora Pérez Garay is a Puerto Rican screenwriter, producer and director. Her previous films include CUERPO DEL DELITO (CORPUS DELICTI) and HAY HOMBRES PARA TODAS (HUNK FOR YOU). ANATOMY OF A DRESS is her directorial debut in a feature documentary.

Two sisters, Ati and Mindhiva, are part of the Arhuaca tribe, a pre-Columbian indigenous group located in Colombia. Their dream is to continue with their university studies, but they have no money and it is impossible for them to enter into the Colombian national university. ATI Y MINDHIVA describes their struggle and determination to achieve their goals, while staying connected to their home culture and family.

About the director

- DirectorClaudia Fischer is a Colombian artist and graduate of the École des Beux-Arts, Paris. She has worked as a painter, furniture designer, and art director/producer for TV series and movies. Two years ago, Ati and Mindhiva came to Claudia seeking help to achieve their dreams. She decided to record them with a small HD camera, to relate this story of Arhuaca women of the Sierra who want to get a higher education.

- DirectorZacarías de la Rosa, born in the Canary Islands, studied filmmaking by chance in Spain, and later studied formally at the New York Film Academy. Creator of Festivalito, a festival focusing on the digital revolution, his first film, 90 MINUTES & I LOVE YOU, was written on the Internet with a collective, and shot in real time in Brooklyn, NYC. His second film, THE LIGHT OF MAFASCA, is a fantastic thriller shot in the desert landscape of the island of Fuerteventura.

Jesus “Chuy” Aceves is a Mexican man with the extremely rare condition that causes an excess of hair on the face and body. Chuy struggles to get by working as a carpenter in his village, then travels around England performing with The Circus of Horrors. This allows Chuy to make more money, but he grows tired of exhibiting himself, and his time away is causing problems with his wife. Chuy returns to his home state of Zacatecas and visits twelve of his relatives who also suffer from congenital hypertrichosis. Never before in the history of the human race has there been a family with so many cases of this condition, and CHUY, THE WOLF MAN is the only filmic portrait of them in existence.

About the director

- DirectorEva Aridjis was born in 1974 and grew up in Mexico City. She attended Princeton University, and then went on to New York University’s MFA program in Film and TV. Her first feature documentary, CHILDREN OF THE STREET was nominated for 2 Mexican Academy Awards and won the Best Documentary Feature prize at the Morelia International Film Festival in 2003. Her second documentary, LA SANTA MUERTE, screened at the 2008 Cine Las Americas IFF.
