A tale of two women from different generations and very different sensibilities. Lea, the young, free spirit, and Lucia, who longs for commitment. Unfulfilled in each of their relationships, they accept the liberating experience of a journey to Argentina's Patagonia. As the two women grow closer and closer, their journey takes them from betrayal to love as each must face the man she left behind. La llamada, which premiered at Toronto International Film Festival, has gone on to international success and accolades.


US Premiere


Director Stefano Pasetto was born in Rome in 1970. After obtaining his Arts degree with a thesis on Krzysztof Kieslowski, he studied at the National Film School of Rome from 1996 to 1999. Pasetto has directed several shorts that have been screened and awarded at important international film festivals such as Cannes, Oberhausen, London, Rome and Turin. He has also directed documentaries such as Waiting in the Wings, Ancient Water, and Italian Women Rebels of the 20th Century and narrative films. He has also worked as screenwriter and editor, and is a contributor to several film magazines.
