Twenty-eight year-old Enrique Heredia, also known as “Cuajo”, is afflicted by cerebral palsy and has difficulty walking. He and Adolfo, a downbeat 30-year-old who lives with his alcoholic father, decide to open a music studio, where they can earn a living while working with music, their passion. To accomplish this goal, they surround themselves with men and women of different origins and cultures but with whom they all

El truco del manco is Santiago Zannou’s feature film debut, although he has extensive prior experience as a short film and video clip director. His film Cara sucia was nominated for a Goya award for Best Short Film in 2004 and was screened at various international film festivals, including San Sebastián, New York, and Madrid. He has shot video clips for a wide range of groups that cover pop, rock, electronic music, and hip hop. Zannou has also taught film direction for four years at the Centro de Estudios Cinematográficos de Catalunya in Barcelona.
